OU Women’s Gymnastics Team Advances to NCAA Ann Arbor Regional Final with Record-Breaking Score

The No. 1 Oklahoma women’s gymnastics team made history once again, posting an NCAA record 11th score of 198-plus as they advanced to the NCAA Ann Arbor Regional Final with a dominant victory over Ohio State, Illinois, and NC State.

Led by standout performances from Jordan Bowers, Katherine LeVasseur, and Ragan Smith, the Sooners showcased their talent and depth in all four events. Bowers was a standout, winning three individual titles on bars, floor, and the all-around, while LeVasseur and Smith also claimed titles on vault and beam, respectively.

The team started strong on vault, earning a 49.425 to lead the field after the first rotation. They continued to build on their lead with impressive performances on uneven bars, beam, and floor, ultimately finishing with a total score of 198.050.

With this victory, the Sooners secured their spot in the NCAA Championships in Fort Worth, Texas, set for April 18-20. They will be joined in the finals by Ohio State, Alabama, and Penn State, who advanced from the first session.
