New Faces and Different Approach: South Grafton Rebels Look to Shine in 2024

The South Grafton Rebels are gearing up for the upcoming Group 2 rugby league season with a fresh approach and plenty of new faces in their lineup. After finishing as minor premiers last year but falling short in the grand final, the Rebels are determined to go one better in 2024.

Under the guidance of coach Ronnie Gordon, the Rebels have made some significant changes to their squad during the off-season. Key ins include Brian Quinlin-Randall, Todd Cameron, Rich Roberts, Tyler Roberts, and Conrad Lardner, who bring a wealth of experience and talent to the team.

Despite losing some key players from last season, including Nick McGrady, James Torrens, and Nick Torrens, the Rebels have managed to bolster their roster with quality recruits. The return of Todd Cameron, former Group 2 player of the year, is a major boost for the team, along with the addition of the Roberts brothers and Conrad Lardner.

Coach Gordon is excited about the mix of experienced players and young talent in the squad, believing that the balance will be key to their success this season. Players to watch include fullback Kieron Johnson, Jye Boehme, Richie Roberts, and Todd Cameron, who are expected to play pivotal roles in the team’s new playing style.

With a strong and balanced lineup, the Rebels are confident of being competitive once again in the upcoming season. Coach Gordon is optimistic about their chances and believes that the team has the right formula to make a serious push for the premiership.

The Rebels will kick off their season against Grafton Ghosts in what promises to be an exciting start to their campaign. Fans can expect a new-look South Grafton side with a renewed sense of determination and a hunger for success in 2024.
