Novak Djokovic Returns at the Monte-Carlo Masters to Challenge Young Stars

After missing the Miami Open, Novak Djokovic is set to make his return at the prestigious Monte-Carlo Masters, looking to disrupt the dominance of young talents Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz in the 2024 season. The tournament will be broadcast exclusively live on Sky Sports Tennis, starting from 10 am on Monday.

The tennis world has been abuzz with talks of a changing of the guard in men’s tennis, with the emergence of 22-year-old Jannik Sinner and 20-year-old Carlos Alcaraz, who have been making waves with their recent victories at the Australian Open and Indian Wells, respectively. However, Djokovic’s return to the court poses a significant challenge to the young stars.

Djokovic, the world No 1 and a record 24-time Grand Slam winner, missed the Miami Open due to personal reasons but is now ready to make his mark at the Monte-Carlo Masters. The 36-year-old has previously won the tournament twice and will be looking to add another title to his illustrious career.

The draw for the Monte-Carlo Masters has set up some exciting matchups, with Djokovic facing either Roman Safiullin or a Qualifier in the second round, while Alcaraz will take on Felix Auger-Aliassime or a Qualifier in his opener. Sinner, who has been in top form this year, will face the winner of Sebastian Korda and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina’s match.

With other big names like defending champion Andrey Rublev, two-time winner Stefanos Tsitsipas, and former champion Stan Wawrinka in the mix, the Monte-Carlo Masters promises to be a thrilling event for tennis fans.

Don’t miss the action as Djokovic looks to reclaim his dominance on the court and challenge the young stars for the title at the Monte-Carlo Masters, live on Sky Sports Tennis.
