Rugby Roundup: Team Updates and Results from Across Barrow and District Leagues
The Woolybacks faced some setbacks as they delayed naming their final 17 for their upcoming match, with former Barrow forward Andrew “Bruie” Dawson and Jackson Evans both unavailable. In addition, Jonty Peters, Dom O’Brien, and Owen High are missing due to injuries.
Despite the absences, coach Brad Crellin remains optimistic as the team prepares to face a tough opponent in Yorkshire. Crellin stated, “We have a few missing but will still travel with a strong squad, and look to compete with the top side in the division.”
Meanwhile, Barrow Island will be without Elliot Campbell as they take on Wigan St Jude’s, but Scott Hadwin makes a welcome return to the squad. Roose Pioneers will be without several key players as they travel to Leigh Miners “A” for the North West Men’s Leagues Trophy, but they welcome back Sam Johnson, Duane Gaitskell, and Tyler Brady.
