BENGALURU: Will Jacks’ Explosive Batting Form Continues as Bengaluru Gears Up for Crucial Contest

BENGALURU: Will Jacks’ explosive innings against Gujarat Titans has been the talk of the town, but the all-rounder is already looking ahead to the next challenge as Bengaluru gears up for a crucial contest. Scoring at a run-a-ball initially, Jacks switched gears and raced from 50-100 in just six minutes, showcasing his ability to dominate the opposition.

Having recently replaced Glenn Maxwell in the playing XI, Jacks had to adapt to a new role and batting position. Primarily an opener, Jacks has experience playing for England in both ODIs and T20Is, but the switch in position presented a new challenge for him.

“It is something that I am adapting to. The hardest thing I found is coming in outside the Powerplay. Normally when you face the first ball, you get a few to look at, and you can get your easy boundaries. I think it is more of a mental thing,” Jacks admitted.

With the next four games being knockout contests for Bengaluru, Jacks emphasized the importance of playing with freedom and focusing on performance rather than feeling the pressure of the situation.

“What we have spoken about as a batting unit is playing with freedom. We have been taking risks at the right time and putting bowlers under pressure. We are keeping it simple and that’s what has been working for us recently,” Jacks explained.

As Bengaluru prepares for the upcoming games, Jacks’ ability to adapt and perform under pressure will be crucial for the team’s success in the tournament. Fans can expect more fireworks from the talented all-rounder as he continues to make his mark in the IPL.
