HILLMAN — Hillman High School’s star basketball player, Trenton Taratuta, has officially signed on to continue his academic and basketball careers at Saginaw Valley State University. The record-breaking athlete has left a lasting impact on the Hillman community with his exceptional talent and dedication to the sport.
Taratuta has shattered nearly every basketball record at Hillman High School, surpassing even the legendary Earvin ‘Magic’ Johnson in career high school points. His achievements on the court have been nothing short of remarkable, but it is his humility and relentless work ethic that truly set him apart.
Coach Eric Muszynski, who presented Taratuta during the signing event, praised the young athlete for his leadership both on and off the court. Muszynski expressed his excitement to see Taratuta continue to excel at the collegiate level, calling him an “all-time great and a generational talent.”
Taratuta, who was recently named Hillman’s Co-Valedictorian with a remarkable 4.359 GPA, is not only a standout athlete but also a dedicated student. He plans to pursue a degree in exercise science at SVSU, highlighting his commitment to both academics and athletics.
