Midrand Montessori High School Celebrates Record-Breaking Achievements at Inter-high Athletics Sports Day

Midrand Montessori High School has been buzzing with excitement as its talented athletes have been making waves in the sports arena. The recent Inter-high Athletics Sports Day held on March 15 was a spectacle to behold, with several school records being shattered by the school’s exceptional athletes.

Amukelani Mokgope, Njume Kraai, and Oreneile Machete were among the standout performers of the day, showcasing their skills and determination in their respective events. Amukelani, who had previously set a high jump record in the U15 boys category, outdid himself by setting a new school record in the event.

Njume Kraai’s dedication and hard work paid off as he clinched victory in the U15 boys’ shot put category, setting a new school record in the process. This record was previously held by none other than Amukelani himself, making Njume’s achievement even more impressive.

Oreneile Machete also left her mark on the event, dominating the U15 girls’ shot put category and setting a new school record previously held by Lyra de Jong.

School principal, Sin Jackson-Morkel, commended the athletes for their outstanding performances and expressed her pride in their achievements.
