Oregon Football’s Transfer Portal Activity: 11 New Additions and 19 Departures
The Oregon Ducks football team has been making waves in the offseason with a flurry of activity in the transfer portal. With 11 highly-touted players added to the roster and 19 players leaving the program, there have been some significant changes to the team’s lineup.
One of the latest departures from the Ducks is defensive tackle Ben Roberts, who announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Wednesday. Roberts, a four-star prospect from East High School in Utah, played in five games for the Ducks last season, including the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl.
As the spring window in the transfer portal closed on April 30, four more Ducks players made the decision to enter their names into the portal. Among them is redshirt freshman corner Collin Gill, who never saw game time with the Ducks but was rated as a top-10 player in Washington D.C.
Redshirt freshman safety Kodi Decambra, a four-star prospect from Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas, also entered the portal after playing in just one game last season. Defensive lineman Johnny Bowens III, another four-star prospect, appeared in three games for the Ducks before deciding to transfer.
Additionally, redshirt freshman offensive lineman Michael Wooten has committed to the Arizona Wildcats after entering the portal. Wooten, a three-star prospect from Sierra Canyon High School in California, played in one game for the Ducks in 2022.
Despite the departures, Oregon has also made some notable additions through the transfer portal, including quarterbacks Dillon Gabriel and Dante Moore, wide receiver Evan Stewart, safety Kobe Savage, defensive lineman Jamaree Caldwell, and cornerback Jabbar Muhammad. With these new additions, the Ducks are looking to make a strong impact in the upcoming season.
