Hockey Haryana and Hockey Maharashtra emerge victorious on Day 2 of National Women’s Hockey League 2024-2025
The second day of the National Women’s Hockey League 2024-2025 (Phase 1) showcased some thrilling matches as Hockey Haryana and Hockey Maharashtra emerged victorious in their respective encounters at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Astroturf Hockey Stadium on Wednesday.
In the first match of the day, Hockey Haryana put on a dominant display against Manipur Hockey, securing an impressive 8-0 win. Pooja opened the scoring early on, setting the tone for Haryana’s commanding performance. Ritika added a brace, while Manju Chorsiya, Bhteri, and Shashi Khasa also found the back of the net to seal the comprehensive victory. In the second match, Hockey Maharashtra outclassed Hockey Mizoram with a 3-0 triumph. In other matches, Hockey Madhya Pradesh edged past Hockey Bengal with a narrow 1-0 victory, while Hockey Jharkhand defeated Hockey Mizoram 3-0 in their respective fixtures.
