“Ghana Paralympic Committee Appoints Four Coaches for Paris 2024 Preparations”

The Ghana Paralympic Committee (GPC) has taken a significant step towards preparing for the Paris 2024 Paralympics by appointing four coaches to lead the country’s athletics team. Patrick Yaw Obeng, Ibrahim Suleiman, Ernest Brako Ofei, and Emmanuel Appiah Kubi have been tasked with the responsibility of guiding Ghana’s para athletes to success on the international stage.

The coaches will be focusing on different aspects of the sport, with Ibrahim Suleiman, Ernest Brako, and Patrick Yaw Obeng concentrating on track events, while Emmanuel Appiah Kubi will be overseeing field disciplines. This strategic division of roles aims to ensure that the athletes receive specialized training and support in their respective areas of expertise.

The decision to appoint these coaches was made following a joint meeting between the NPC Ghana, the Ghana Para Athletics Association, and the Ghana Blind Sports Association. The goal is to provide the athletes with the best possible preparation and support as they strive to secure medals at the upcoming Paralympic Games.

Ghana made its Paralympic Games debut in 2004 and has since been striving to make a mark on the international stage. While no Ghanaian athlete has won a medal at the Paralympics yet, the country is determined to change that narrative in Paris 2024. With the appointment of these experienced coaches, Ghana’s para athletes are in good hands as they begin their preparations for the upcoming Games.

The team will kick off their training camp in the cities of Boucle Nord de Seine, where they will focus on para athletics and para powerlifting.
