“Sports Boulevard and Al Nakheel Mall Launch ‘Walking Track’ Initiative in Riyadh during Ramadan”
The Sports Boulevard and Al Nakheel Mall in Riyadh have joined forces to promote health and physical activity with the launch of the “Walking Track” initiative during Ramadan. This initiative features a 506-meter walking track inside the mall, encouraging residents and visitors to incorporate walking into their daily routine, amounting to approximately 750 steps.
The “Walking Track” is part of the Sports Boulevard’s mission to enhance community well-being and raise awareness about the benefits of regular physical activity. It aims to provide quality facilities and promote a lifestyle centered around health and sustainability.
Since its launch, the initiative has garnered a strong turnout, indicating a growing interest in adopting walking as a healthy habit among community members. In addition to the “Walking Track,” the Sports Boulevard continues to offer its immersive cycling experience, RIYDE.
RIYDE utilizes cutting-edge technology to simulate cycling routes, allowing participants to virtually traverse different terrains and compete in an engaging environment. The virtual 5.24km route caters to varying fitness levels, offering a 10-15 minute cycling adventure.
Participants can also use virtual reality technology to preview the transformative impact of the completed Sports Boulevard project on Riyadh, providing a glimpse into the future development of the city. Ahmed Bin Askar, chief of communications at the Sports Boulevard Foundation, emphasized the initiatives’ role in promoting healthier lifestyles and engaging the community in sports.
“We are dedicated to improving the quality of life in Riyadh by encouraging residents and visitors to make healthier choices and actively participate in sports and community activities,” he stated. The partnership between the Sports Boulevard and Al Nakheel Mall is a step towards fostering a culture of health and well-being in Riyadh, encouraging individuals to prioritize their physical fitness during the holy month of Ramadan and beyond.
