LIV Golf Tour Returns to Chicago with Tournament at Bolingbrook Golf Club
The LIV Golf Tour is making its highly anticipated return to Chicago, with Bolingbrook Golf Club set to host the circuit’s individual championship from September 13 to 15. After two successful years at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, the tour is excited to bring its intense competition and fan-first experience to a new setting.
Commissioner Greg Norman expressed his excitement for the upcoming event, stating, “The passionate sports fans of Chicago have embraced the intense competition and fan-first experience that LIV Golf delivers. This year, it will be an incredible setting for a high-stakes event as players battle it out for the individual title.”
Bolingbrook Golf Club, known for its challenging 7,104-yard course designed by Arthur Hills and Steve Forrest, offers a picturesque setting for the tournament. With its signature hole being the 156-yard par-3 15th featuring an island green, players will face a true test of skill and precision.
While Rich Harvest Farms had previously hosted LIV events, owner Jerry Rich decided to give his membership a break from major tournament play this year. Bolingbrook, although not as busy in terms of tournament hosting, has proven its capabilities by hosting an event on the PGA Tour’s Forme Tour in 2021.
With the individual champion title up for grabs, players will be vying for the top spot, following in the footsteps of past winners like Cameron Smith and Bryson DeChambeau. The upcoming event at Bolingbrook Golf Club promises to be a thrilling showcase of talent and competition, setting the stage for the season-long race and the 2024 team finals. Golf fans in Chicago are in for a treat as they witness some of the best players in the world compete for glory on the picturesque course.
