Samsung TV Plus Announces Major Sports Upgrade with Addition of League Channels
Samsung TV Plus is making major moves in the world of sports with the addition of a suite of new sports channels to its free, ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) platform. The announcement was made during the Samsung Ads presentation at the 2024 IAB NewFronts, where Samsung promoted Samsung TV Plus as the ultimate destination for sports fans.
The new sports content coming to Samsung TV Plus includes live sports coverage from Major League Baseball (MLB), The PGA Tour, the American Hockey League (AHL), ONE Championship (MMA), and Formula 1. This means viewers will soon have access to a wide range of sports content, from game replays to behind-the-scenes programming and documentaries.
MLB fans can look forward to the MLB FAST channel, which will feature weekly game replays, Minor league game replays, and game recaps. Golf enthusiasts will enjoy total coverage of the PGA Tour, with highlights, tournament recaps, and more. Hockey fans can catch live AHL games through the Los Angeles Kings affiliate, the Ontario Reign. Formula 1 and MMA fans will also have dedicated channels to keep up with all the action.
In addition to the new sports content, Samsung TV Plus also announced an exclusive partnership with Warner Music, adding music playlists like The Drop and Artist Odyssey to the platform.
With close to 500 free channels now available on Samsung TV Plus, the platform continues to expand and offer a diverse range of content for viewers. Samsung TV Plus is free to access on Samsung devices, including Samsung smart TVs and Galaxy devices, or via the Samsung TV Plus website. Sports fans and music lovers alike have plenty to look forward to on Samsung TV Plus.
