In a thrilling round three of the CCRL, year-long droughts were broken, huge premiership statements were made, and one club recorded a historic win, making it an action-packed weekend for rugby league fans.

The Entrance made a huge statement by defeating last year’s premiers Toukley 30-4 at EDSACC Oval. Back-rower Zane Griffiths scored a double as the Tigers ran in six tries to wipe away the reigning champions. Coach Jarod Hamer praised his team’s efforts, highlighting their strong defense and execution of the game plan.

Meanwhile, Dora Creek celebrated their debut in the Central Coast division with a historic win over Terrigal, triumphing 20-12 at Duffys Road. Despite a strong first half, the Swampies allowed the Sharks back into the game in the second half but managed to hold on for the victory.

Berkeley Vale pulled off a major upset by defeating Wyong 20-14 at Ted Doyle Oval. The Panthers, who had not won a game in over a year, showed great intensity and resilience to secure the win against a strong Wyong side.

Erina continued their dominant start to the season with a comprehensive 24-0 victory over Kincumber. The Eagles ran in four unanswered tries to maintain their spot at the top of the table with six points from three games.
