Seafront Oz Goose Regatta: A Celebration of Sailing at Seafront Summerfest

The shores of San Juan, Batangas were alive with excitement as the first Seafront Oz Goose Regatta kicked off at the annual Seafront Summerfest. Hosted by Aboitiz Land’s Seafront Residences, this event brought together sailors from diverse backgrounds and various clubs for a weekend of thrilling competition.

The Seafront Oz Goose Tournament featured 17 boats vying for victory in races held against the stunning backdrop of the Seafront Residences. Competitors faced varying wind conditions throughout the day, showcasing their resilience and skill on the water. In the Women’s Division, Ginny Waite, Cherry Pinpin, and Jazmine Lucero took home the top three spots, highlighting the inclusivity and diversity of the sport.

In the Sailability Division, Joy Calimlim Habana and Cherrie Pinpin impressed with their exceptional skills, securing the top runner-up positions. The Open Division saw Michael Storer, Mark Jhervin Alumisin, and Jazmine Lucero emerge as the top three runners-up, demonstrating their competitive spirit and sportsmanship.

Aside from the thrilling races, Subic Sailing also hosted a beginner-friendly sailing class, introducing participants to the basics of sailing aboard the Oz Goose. The event was a celebration of the spirit of sailing and the camaraderie shared among participants from different sailing backgrounds.
