Nolan Harvath Joins Tennessee Women’s Basketball Staff as Director of Sports Performance
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Lady Vols have made a significant addition to their coaching staff with the hiring of Nolan Harvath as the director of women’s basketball sports performance. Harvath, who previously served on the strength and conditioning staff at West Virginia University, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the program.
Lady Vols head basketball coach Kim Caldwell expressed her excitement about Harvath joining the team, stating, “He sees the vision we have and is dedicated to making sure we are the hardest working team in the country. I know he is going to show up to work focused on ensuring our program is getting better every single day.”
Harvath, pronounced HARR-vath, has a strong background in strength and conditioning, having worked with various sports programs at WVU, including football, baseball, and golf. Prior to his time at WVU, he served as the director of strength and conditioning at Glenville State University, where he was responsible for all strength and conditioning activities within the athletic department.
In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Harvath has also worked in the high school ranks, serving as a strength and conditioning coach at East Fairmont High and Morgantown High. He has a degree in exercise science from the University of Southern Indiana and a master’s in athletic coaching education from WVU.
Harvath’s expertise in strength and conditioning will be a valuable asset to the Lady Vols as they look to improve their performance on the court. With his dedication to hard work and commitment to excellence, Harvath is sure to make a significant impact on the program.
