Amazon, Rogers Communications, and NHL Announce Exclusive Prime Monday Night Hockey Deal in Canada
In a groundbreaking move for hockey fans in Canada, Amazon, Rogers Communications, and the National Hockey League (NHL) have announced a milestone two-year agreement to bring Monday night NHL hockey exclusively to Prime Video.
The Prime Monday Night Hockey package will stream all national regular season Monday night NHL games in English for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 NHL seasons. This marks the NHL’s first exclusive national broadcast package with a digital-only streaming service in Canada. The package, produced by Prime Video, will feature a new broadcast team providing in-depth analysis and play-by-play coverage, streaming live exclusively to Prime members in Canada.
Colette Watson, President of Rogers Sports & Media, expressed excitement about the partnership with Amazon, highlighting the evolution of the content ecosystem and the opportunity to grow the game and provide hockey fans with more flexibility in watching games.
