Northeastern Women’s Rowing Team Prepares for Strong Spring Season

The Northeastern women’s rowing team is ready to make waves this spring season as they gear up for their first race at the Doc Hosea Invitational in Cherry Hill, N.J. on March 30. With a strong sense of unity and determination, the Huskies are looking to build on their past successes and continue their winning streak.

Junior coxswain Camille Arnold-Mages expressed the team’s upbeat energy and improvements throughout the winter training period. The team’s recent trip to Florida showcased their speed and growth, with junior and captain Firinne Rolfe noting the high level of performance across the entire program.

The team’s positive and competitive culture has been a driving force behind their success, with a focus on pushing each other to achieve their best. Head coach Joe Wilhelm highlighted the team’s impressive performance at the Henley Royal Regatta last summer, which has set the tone for the upcoming season.

The Huskies have a history of dominance in their division, with a nine-time championship streak under their belt. Last season, they swept the CAA Championship and made a strong showing at the NCAA regatta. Senior captain Tess Miller, a standout performer in previous seasons, is focused on leading the team to success and pushing them to reach their full potential.

With the support of Northeastern and dedicated rowing alumni, the team is well-equipped to tackle the challenges ahead. As they prepare for upcoming regattas, including the Beanpot, Council Cup, and CAA Championship, the Huskies are poised for a successful season filled with strong performances and teamwork.

Fans can expect to see the Northeastern women’s rowing team continue their winning tradition and push themselves to new heights as they embark on another exciting season on the water.
