Mike Tyson Opens Up on Cannabis Empire Ahead of Fight with Jake Paul: Wife’s ‘Brilliant’ Idea Shapes Product Line
Mike Tyson is not only gearing up for his highly anticipated fight with Jake Paul, but he is also making waves in the cannabis industry with his expanding empire. The boxing legend, who last fought Roy Jones Jr in 2020, has been making headlines with his cannabis brand, Tyson 2.0.
Recently, Tyson promoted the expansion of his brand in Times Square and announced plans to bring it to his hometown of Brooklyn. He has also partnered with a marijuana seed bank, Royal Queen Seeds, for a new collaboration. Tyson 2.0 offers a range of marijuana products, including vapes and edibles, with a unique twist – the edibles are made in the shape of Evander Holyfield’s ear.
The idea to use Holyfield’s ear as a product came from Tyson’s wife, Lakiha Spicer, whom he affectionately calls ‘brilliant’. Despite initially being hesitant due to the trouble the ear-biting incident caused him in the past, Tyson eventually embraced the idea and now jokes that he and Holyfield are the only ones still making money from a fight that happened 30 years ago.
Tyson’s journey with cannabis started when he was a child, and he admits that being the face of the industry still surprises him. Despite his past struggles with substance abuse, Tyson is currently taking a break from smoking to focus on his fight preparation. He is living a disciplined lifestyle, abstaining from both marijuana and sex to ensure he is in peak condition for his upcoming bout.
As Tyson continues to make headlines both in and out of the ring, his cannabis empire and unique products are just another example of his entrepreneurial spirit and ability to stay relevant in the ever-changing world of sports and entertainment.
