Indiana Hoosiers Pursuing Monmouth Transfer Nikita Konstantynovskyi for Front Court Depth
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana Hoosiers are on the lookout for front court depth and have reportedly reached out to Monmouth transfer Nikita Konstantynovskyi. The 6-foot-10, 245-pound forward has one year of eligibility left and has garnered interest from several other schools including Xavier, Stanford, and Arizona State, among others.
Konstantynovskyi had a solid senior season at Monmouth, averaging 9.3 points, 8.1 rebounds, and nearly a block per game. He started 32 games for the Hawks and showcased his prowess on the boards, recording six double-doubles and ranking highly in both offensive and defensive rebounding percentages in the Colonial Athletic Association.
The Ukrainian-born player began his collegiate career at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M before transferring to Tulsa and eventually landing at Monmouth. He has shown steady improvement throughout his college career, culminating in a standout senior campaign that has caught the attention of programs like Indiana.
With the Hoosiers looking to fill the void left by departing big men Kel’el Ware, Anthony Walker, and Payton Sparks, Konstantynovskyi could provide a much-needed boost to their front court rotation. Indiana already boasts promising talent in power forward Malik Reneau and Arizona transfer center Oumar Ballo, making Konstantynovskyi a potentially valuable addition to their roster.
As the offseason progresses, all eyes will be on where Konstantynovskyi ultimately decides to take his talents, with Indiana emerging as a strong contender for his services. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
