2023-24 Pennsylvania Sports Writers All-State Girls’ Basketball Teams Announced
The 2023-24 Pennsylvania Sports Writers All-State Girls’ Basketball teams were announced on Friday, showcasing the top talent from across the state. Southeastern Pa. stood out with four players of the year coming from the region.
Junior forward Molly Rullo of PIAA 6A champion Cardinal O’Hara was named the Player of the Year in Class 6A, while Archbishop Wood senior guard Ava Renninger received the honor in 5A. Audenreid junior Shayla Smith, who averaged an impressive 25.3 points per game, was selected as the best in 4A. Westtown freshman Jordyn Palmer was chosen as the Player of the Year in 3A after leading her team to the Pa. Independent Schools Athletic Association championship for the third consecutive season.
The All-State teams featured standout players from various schools, with each player’s school, height, class, and scoring average listed. The teams were divided into different classes, with players recognized for their exceptional performances throughout the season.
