DP World delivers 500 cricket kits to grassroots academies in New Delhi as part of Beyond Boundaries Initiative
In a heartwarming gesture towards nurturing young cricketing talent, DP World has delivered 500 cricket kits to grassroots academies at the Aerocity Ground in Delhi as part of its Beyond Boundaries initiative. This initiative, aimed at supporting the growth of cricket by providing necessary kits, equipment, and facilities through repurposed shipping containers, has already made a significant impact on the local cricketing community.
The two latest containers, adorned with unique exterior painted artwork capturing the spirit of cricket and its connection to the city of Delhi, will benefit 500 young players from academies such as Bal Bharati and Bal Bhavan in the Delhi region. Serving as changing rooms and resting pavilions for the beneficiaries, these containers are not just providing equipment but also creating a conducive environment for the young cricketers to hone their skills.
The launch event saw the presence of notable Delhi Capitals players, including David Warner, Anrich Nortje, Yash Dhull, and Poonam Yadav, along with head coach Ricky Ponting and Director of Cricket Sourav Ganguly. Adhendru Jain from DP World and representatives from Delhi Capitals’ Men’s and Women’s teams also interacted with and distributed the cricket kits to the young beneficiaries from seven academies across Delhi NCR.
Adhendru Jain, vice president, Rail and Inland Terminals, DP World Subcontinent, expressed the company’s commitment towards supporting talent at every opportunity, especially at the grassroots level. Delhi Capitals CEO Sunil Gupta also appreciated the initiative and DP World’s dedication to nurturing talent, emphasizing the transformative power of cricket in uniting communities and changing lives.
With plans to distribute the remaining containers at strategic locations globally, DP World is set to continue its mission of supporting aspiring players and creating a positive impact through sports beyond boundaries.
