San Marin Hands Redwood First Loss of MCAL Baseball Season
San Marin baseball handed Redwood its first loss of the MCAL season in a thrilling 7-4 victory on Thursday. The Mustangs’ offense came alive in the third inning, scoring five runs to take control of the game. Anthony Scheppler led the charge with a home run and three RBIs, while Matthew Balding and Hugh Brady also contributed with solid performances at the plate.

Redwood’s Sam Sumski also had a standout performance, shooting a 31 to lead his team to victory over Marin Catholic and Archie Williams.
In girls lacrosse, Redwood advanced to the MCAL final with a thrilling 15-14 win over San Marin. Marin Academy also secured a spot in the BCL West championship game with a convincing win over Lick-Wilmerding.
On the boys volleyball front, top-seeded Redwood swept past Terra Linda in the MCAL semifinals behind strong performances from Beckett Shewey and Auden Baker. The Giants will face off against Tam in the final on Friday night.
