Nebraska Football Lands Under-the-Radar Recruit Tanner Terch
In a move that showcases Nebraska football’s keen eye for talent, Littleton Heritage receiver Tanner Terch has committed to the Huskers. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound prospect chose Nebraska over Army, the only other school pursuing him.
Terch’s decision was influenced by the unique opportunity to play for a program like Nebraska. “Only so many people get that opportunity, so, to kind of dance around it and wait for something better, I don’t know if that’s in my best interest,” Terch said.
During an unofficial visit with his father, Terch received an offer from Nebraska and was impressed by head coach Matt Rhule’s coaching style. “Coach Rhule gets into it. He was chewing dudes out, but then it’s great to see him laughing with guys and loving up on them. Those are the coaches I just love,” Terch said.
Unrated by major recruiting services, Terch brings speed and playmaking ability to the Huskers. In his last two seasons, he caught 62 passes for 1,044 yards and 10 touchdowns, showcasing his big-play potential.
Terch’s commitment adds depth to Nebraska’s receiving corps and highlights the program’s ability to identify talent early. With a strong group of young wideouts on campus, including fellow Heritage alum Rex Guthrie, Terch is poised to make an impact on the team.
Nebraska’s recruiting approach stands out compared to in-state schools like Colorado and Colorado State, who have overlooked local talent. Terch’s decision to join the Huskers reflects the program’s commitment to building a competitive roster with top-notch recruits.
