England’s Red Roses Squad Updates for Women’s Six Nations Grand Slam Decider vs France

In a thrilling turn of events, hooker Amy Cokayne and lock Abbie Ward are set to return to the starting lineup for England’s Red Roses as they gear up to face France in the Women’s Six Nations Grand Slam decider this Saturday at Stade Chaban-Delmas in Bordeaux.

Cokayne, who missed the last match against Ireland due to a suspension, will be back in action at hooker, while Ward will be taking her place in the second row. Unfortunately, Lark Atkin-Davies and Rosie Galligan have been ruled out due to injuries, with Atkin-Davies suffering from an ankle injury and Galligan nursing a broken and dislocated thumb.

The Red Roses will also see Morwenna Talling continuing in the second row alongside Ward, after being promoted from the bench in the previous match against Ireland. The potent back-three of Ellie Kildunne, Abby Dow, and Jess Breach remains unchanged, providing a strong attacking threat for England.

Head coach John Mitchell expressed his excitement for the upcoming challenge against France, emphasizing the team’s focus on their preparation and process. With the opportunity to secure a Women’s Six Nations Grand Slam on the line, the Red Roses are determined to put on a stellar performance in Bordeaux.

The match is set to kick off at 4.45pm local time on Saturday, and fans can expect an intense battle between two top-tier teams vying for victory in the Grand Slam decider. Stay tuned for what promises to be a thrilling showdown between England and France in the Women’s Six Nations.
