Exciting News: Padel and Tennis Courts Coming to Hove Seafront This Summer!
Exciting news for sports enthusiasts in Hove as tennis and padel courts are set to open on the seafront this summer. The Kingsway to the Sea project will bring several courts near Rockwater, offering a mix of tennis and squash within an enclosed court.
Game4Padel, the UK’s leading padel company, has been selected by the Brighton and Hove City Council to operate the facility, which will feature six tennis and four padel courts. The company boasts tennis stars such as Andy and Jamie Murray, Annabel Croft, and Andrew Castle as investors and ambassadors.
The newly named Hove Beach Park, part of the Kingsway to the Sea project, will stretch from Hove Lagoon to the King Alfred Leisure Centre, providing a range of sports offerings including bowls, croquet, a new skatepark, pump track, and roller area.
Game4Padel CEO Michael Gradon expressed his excitement about the project, stating, “We are delighted to have been selected for this exciting regeneration project. We pride ourselves on building vibrant communities where we operate our venues, and we are confident that Hove Beach Park will soon become a thriving location for anyone wanting to play these racket sports.”
The park, mostly funded by the government’s Levelling Up Fund, aims to make padel and tennis accessible to all with a pay and play approach. With the demand for these sports on the rise in Brighton and Hove, the new courts are sure to attract a wide range of players looking to enjoy some friendly competition by the sea.
