Olivia Dunne and her LSU gymnastics teammates have been making headlines both on and off the mat. After securing their first NCAA title, the team surprised fans by serving up some fast-food goodness at a local Raising Caine’s near campus.
The 21-year-old SI model, along with Kiya Johnson, Haleigh Bryant, Savannah Schoenherr, and Aleah Finnegan, took on the roles of cashiers and drive-thru attendants, drawing a large crowd of Tigers supporters eager to show their love for the newly crowned champions.
During a break from her shift, Dunne spoke to TMZ about the surge in women’s sports and the team’s hard work paying off with the championship win. When asked about her future in college gymnastics, Dunne hinted at potentially moving on from LSU in the fall, stating that she’s been focused on the current season and hasn’t made a final decision yet.
Despite not competing in the NCAA championship tournament, Dunne is ready to support her boyfriend, MLB top prospect Paul Skenes, as he continues his baseball season with the Triple-A Indianapolis Indians. Skenes recently had an impressive performance on the mound, showcasing his talent and potential for a call-up to the Pittsburgh Pirates.
As Dunne prepares for the championship parade and ceremony at LSU’s Pete Maravich Assembly Center, she also hinted at getting her merch and outfits ready for what lies ahead. With a supportive boyfriend by her side and a bright future in both gymnastics and beyond, Dunne’s journey is one to watch as she navigates the next chapter of her athletic career.
