University of Washington Adds Guard DJ Davis to Basketball Roster
The University of Washington basketball team is making some big moves this week, securing commitments from two talented guards who will surely make an impact on the court. After welcoming Jase Butler on Tuesday, the Huskies have now added D’areyon “DJ” Davis to their roster.
Davis, a 6-foot-1 senior guard, comes to Washington after a successful season at Butler in Indianapolis. Known for his exceptional free-throw shooting, Davis led the nation with an impressive 95 percent accuracy from the foul line. His clutch performances, including going 10-for-10 in games, make him a valuable asset for the team.
Not only does Davis bring skill and experience to the Huskies, but he also carries a winning mentality from his time at Butler’s Hinkle Fieldhouse, a historic venue featured in the movie “Hoosiers.” Fans can expect Davis to bring that same competitive spirit to Alaska Airlines Arena and hopefully deliver some game-winning moments like the iconic Jimmy Chitwood.
Joining fellow guard Jase Butler and junior Mehki Mason, Davis adds depth and talent to the backcourt for Washington. His previous success at UC-Irvine, where he was named first-team All-Big West, showcases his ability to make an impact on the court.
With these recent additions, the Huskies are shaping up to have a strong and competitive team for the upcoming season. Fans can stay updated on all the latest UW basketball and football news by visiting si.com/college/washington.
